Citizens and Landowners for a Rational Response have been organizing landowner and hunter opposition to the Eradication Kill (colored in red on the adjacent map . . . click here for to see an enlarged version). Volunteers from the caids group joined this effort by organizing the eastern half of the area. As of October, 2003 it is estimated that landowners representing over 100,000 acres had signed up in opposition to wild deer eradication as a CWD solution.
